I like! It's a solid album. You can have a party, get over a heartbreak with the lovely "How to Hate," (which I love, minus T-Pain) vibe and then rethink life with "President Carter." What I really enjoy more than the beats and the lyrics are the features. They were so unexpected! Andre 3 stacks, Tech Nyne, Nas, Shyne, and the always welcomed Bun B! It was too much realness on one cd.

P.S. Projections say this cd will sell between 750k and 900k this week. I hope so. Say what you want about Weezy F Baby—please say the baby—his zebra-print jeggings, him being high, short, quirky, crazy; this guy knows how to put an album out. He is living in his purpose, Carter 4 included. Press "Play."

I am amazed by this video because I think it is very socially aware. I love, love, love what Wayne and his team did with this. I can only hope it will make young girls and parents everywhere think a little differently about the decisions they make. I already loved the song, but I am in love with the video. Watch The Throne…Rightfully titled; I don’t think any other artists could pull this off. It’s a very well-rounded album. You’ve got hard hitting tracks like “H.A.M” and my personal favorite, “Ni**as in Paris,” then you have oldy-feeling music like “Otis” and “The Joy.” I was bobbing my head by the 2nd track; this album required my undivided attention. You can’t help but vibe to it. Above that, the content is spectacular. From Black-on-Black crime to racism, there’s a lot being talked about here. I’m impressed. It’s not preachy either. Nice beats. A solid album. As my homegirl would say, “Y’all did that!”

I like Kelly… however, her cd didn’t move me. You want an emotional tie with music and her cd—as a whole—doesn’t do that for me. It’s not that her songs aren’t good, they just lack emotion. Kelly has a great voice, I would've loved a ballad. That didn’t happen. I think it’s difficult making an album for both the UK and USA. There’s no unity to the cd. It’s mostly party music sprinkled with a couple of up-tempo love songs. My favorite song on the album is “Motivation.” I would have liked to hear more songs like this.

This album aside, I think Kelly needs to find herself. What I noticed about her cd is that pretty much anybody could have been singing her songs: Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, Monica. I know the music game is saturated right now with monotony, but I think if Kelly goes big—grandeur—she’ll do well. Individuality is key. The way I see it, she was in Destiny’s Child too. She should come harder; she has it in her.
